In order to qualify for financial aid to pay for your child's daycare services, you MUST meet ALL the following requirements:

 

1. Each parent in the household MUST be working or training at least 25 hours per week, OR each parent must

    be attending 9 semester college hours.

 

2. If self-employed, you MUST provide a tax identification number, three months' worth of income, invoices,

    receipts, work orders, quarterly tax statements, etc. These statements will be used for income verification

    purposes to verify earnings.

 

3. Participation with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for child support and/or paternity is required,

    when applicable to the case.

 

    ONE of the following MUST be obtained for each child:

  • Written verification of child support income report from the OAG or an online statement

  • Statement from the non-custodial parent verifying monthly child support OR personal arrangements for child support form and/or three months of receipts for purchases made for the children.

 

4. Gross earnings provided will be matched to the wage earnings submitted by employers to the UI Wage

    Earning System at the Texas Workforce Commission

 

5. For parents choosing a relative at least 18 years of age NOT living in the same household as a childcare

    provider, the provider MUST be a Listed Family Home provider with the Texas Department of Family and

    Protective Services (DFPS)/Child Care Licensing. (Qualified relatives include aunts, siblings, uncles,

    grandparents, and great-grandparents.)

The Workforce East Texas Child Care Services receives funds to help families alleviate the burden of the cost of childcare services.
